TURNPIKE TOLL ADVISORY
Open Road Tolling to Take Effect
Effective mid February 2011, the turnpike conversion to open road tolling for the 47-mile Turnpike Extension from mile post zero (Florida City) to mile post 47 (Miramar) will be complete.
Florida residents are encouraged to purchase a Sunpass.
Motorists without a SunPass using the Extension after the conversion will be charged for Turnpike miles by the "Toll-By-Plate" program, a system where cameras located on overhead gantries photograph each vehicles license plate and bill its holder for both the toll and a $2.50 administrative charge on a monthly basis.

- When you reach Key West on US Route 1, continue to Whitehead Street/US1.
- Turn right onto Whitehead Street and continue 6 blocks.
